More info:  Before becoming a Rotary scholar, Alex served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, Southern Africa, where she worked on education, health and economic projects to combat the rising number of HIV/AIDS cases in youth. 

Ultimately, Alex wants to gain more experience in non-governmental organization management and continue to work on community projects in developing countries.
