More info: Before becoming a Rotary global scholar, Cameron won Salem Rotary’s speech contest and lived with a Rotary family in Mexico as a Rotary Youth Exchange student.

The pandemic made it difficult for Cameron to enjoy the level of interaction with the host sponsors that scholars enjoy in “normal times.” Salamanca Rotary Club membership dipped from 25 to less than 10.

Representing Rotary in Spain, Cameron worked as a volunteer at Acoge, a nonprofit that provides support to refugees.

Since returning to the U.S., Cameron has spoken to Rotary clubs in Salem, Bloomington, Clark County and New Albany. He will speak at a February “Friends of the Foundation” event in Clarksville.
